Jamie + Valentine = My babies 😘. These two are the love of my life and what better way to express my love than by crocheting their names on my top! 😁. The Alpine crochet tank top is a textured and light tank perfect for personalization. All size-inclusive. Check out the free crochet pattern below.
DESIGN INSPIRATION
I didn't see very many personalized tops with letters around and I wanted to give makers a chance to include names or words that they enjoy into their garments. I wanted to create a top that was also fun and textured - hence the alpine stitches! I added these stitches after seeing them around a lot on Instagram recently and wanted to give them a try while uniquely incorporating them.

This crochet pattern is written without the text, but personalization is available here.

DESCRIPTION
This crochet tank top is worked from the top down. Working the Alpine stitches is simple and easy once you see the pattern. If you know how to Double Crochet through the front of the post, then everything is a breeze. I am using an acrylic/ nylon yarn by Woolike Simili-Laine Loops & Threads available at Micheal's. It is a category 1 yarn that makes it super light and super breezy with a 3.0 mm hook.

Bind off and rep Part 1-3 to make Front panel (Part 2.1 below is optional)
Part 2.1: Personalize Text (Optional)

If you are adding a personalized text to this top, Find the front and center point ie The number of sts required for the word “Text” is 70 sts.
Get the total front panel Width (× sts) - Minus Word Length (70 sts). Then divide that into 2. Lets say the total front panel has 80 sts.
i.e. 80 – 70 ÷ 2 = 5 sts
You will start your work on the 6th St and preferably on the same row as the underarms
See video tutorial on how to work up tapestry crochet
Part 4: Seaming sides together
On the WS, seam each side with a Sc or Slst, or whichever way you pref. (pink line)
Seam both top straps (pink line)
Sc around the neckline and armhole (blue line)
Sc around the bottom for 2 rows (green line)
Bind off and weave in all loose ends
