Summer is here and I'm bringing in the tanks... Tank Tops that is! 😁
I love wearing tank tops. They flatter the body, they can be worn casually or even sporty, depending on how you dress it. The U Tank Tops name comes from the construction itself! Everything starts and ends with a "U" foundation and it works up great! This is currently one of my favs!
DESIGN INSPIRATION
I wanted to create a top that is modern yet simple and unique. I love how the front slit opens up and creates an elegant look yet still casual. And because I got these beautiful bamboo cotton yarns from Annie's, they are the perfect touch to a soft and silky finish.
This tank top pairs so well with almost anything. Jeans, shorts, and it even works so well for that zoom / work attire! Am I right?!
in case you need this for later, PIN It!
This pattern tutorial is also available on my YouTube channel where it is worked up in size small. However, If you would like a printable ad-free PDF copy of this pattern, it is available for purchase in my shop or add this to your Ravelry queue.
DESCRIPTION
This top is worked from the middle up and then worked down. Once you get the U foundation in place, everything else will follow along smoothly. Simple Double and Single crochet stitches are all you need for this top.
Its super easy. And when using the perfect cotton bamboo yarn like Coboo from Lion Brand , it just makes it so soft on the skin. Its light and drapey, perfect for Summer days!
I am also using the 4mm Furls Streamline Ergonomic Wood Crochet Hook and because of how smooth and light it is, it took me no time at all to finish this cute top! Perfect for those tired hands like mine 😊.
